This fashion story was created for the collection 'The space that is and isn't' by designer Emelie Arvidsson. The key to the concept and focus of the collection is void, where Emelie chose Ma as a mental picture, with keywords as The Space that is and isn't, the energy in between, spacing, the void, the silence, the pause, the emptiness, the intervals, distance, timing…

In Japanese, ma is the word for space and suggests interval and is best described as a consciousness of place. The image story needed to speak of this space and convey a strong shape, as a parallel to Emelie's work with the construction to create a surface for strengthening shape. The story, like the collection, was formed into a sculptural piece, somewhat futuristic, and alienesc.
